Enter one or more keywords contained in a work title or work excerpt. Do not
use boolean operators (and/or) or wildcards (*).
Examples:
sonata
etude
nocturne op.27 n.2
For a successful search, keep these points in mind:
-
You may specify abbreviated keywords by entering only the first few letters of
the word. For example, you may enter 'etu' instead of 'etude'.
-
Do not enter keywords for which there are other controls available in the form.
For example, entering a composition date in the title box will limit the
results - use the specific control instead.
-
Enter singular keywords instead of plural.
-
Use an alphanumeric alphabet - avoid punctuation and quotation marks.
-
Follow these syntactic rules for searching by work number:
-
Opus: op.[number] n.[number]
-
Hoboken: Hob.[number]/[number] --- Note: use arabic numbers everywhere. e.g.
Hob.16/4 instead of Hob.XVI/4
-
BWV: BWV [number] (space needed)
-
Other numbers are entered following the syntax: [catalogue symbol].[number]
